CIVIL WAR ALBUMEN PHOTOGRAPH OF MISSOURI CONFEDERATE SOLDIER THOMAS CALLOWAY RUSSELL(1843-1864), WITH TWO DAGUERROTYPES OF HIS MOTHER. Includes two daguerrotypes of his mother, Rosilla Craig. Russell photographed wearing Richmond arsenal shell jacket and slouch hat, and carrying 1860's Colt army pistol. Russell, conscripted into the Confederate Army against his will, later escaped the Confederates and joined the 2nd Arkansas Cavalry of the Union Army. In mid-19th century mahogany oval frame with handwritten information on reverse summarizing Russell's war experience and interesting details of death.
