RARE CHINESE PARCEL-GILT BRONZE CIRCULAR MIRROR, Tang Dynasty (618-907). Crisply cast, the knob surrounded by eight insects within a scrolling foliate ring, the central field with flying birds holding floral sprays in their becks above a procession comprising a chariot and ox, figures on horse back and musicians, the animals and figures highlighted by gilding in contrast to the grey patina.
