COLLECTION OF FOUR CANES WITH STERLING/GOLD MOUNTS, 19th/20th Century. Marked Sterling. Gold Cap marked Made in England & 14k. One cane having an engraved sterling collar, marked Major General Charles D. Rhodes, Spa-Paris, December 22, 1918. Rhodes was a distinquished military commander from WWI, author and lecturer; measuring 35 3/4" long; the second reticulated cane having a 14k gold cap monogramed EBR, measuring 36" long. The third cane having a sterling cap, measuring 32 1/2" long; the last having a carved alligator handle, measuring 36" long.
Estimate $300-400

The cane with the gold cap in need of restoration to the reticulated mechanism. Otherwise, wear commensurate with age and use, but no splits or significant losses.
