PROVENANCE: Estate of Hugh Dudley Auchincloss III, step-brother of Jacqueline Bouvier Kennedy Onassis. The mirror hung for decades in the dining room at "The Castle", one of three mansions at Hammersmith Farm, Newport, Rhode Island, the Auchincloss estate. Hammersmith Farm was considered one of the Kennedy Family " Summer White Houses " during the so called age of Camelot during the Kennedy Presidency in the early 1960's.
