PAIR OF FRENCH PARIS PORCELAIN AMPHORA VASES. 19th Century, Incised to base. Two handled vases of ovoid form having handpainted mythological scene reserve and gilt medallion flanked by painted swans and botanical designs verso to body having a burgundy field on white ground. Applied gilt to neck, handles, body and base. Handles having lion masks. - 12 1/8" high.
12 1/8" high.

Estimate $350-450

Sold to benefit the Baltimore Museum of Art.

Wear to the gilt to rim and various parts of the body and base. One of the vases having later applied gold enamel to lowest point of vase above the round base.
