TWO 19TH/20TH CENTURY RUSSIAN LACQUER BOXES,Both marked. Hinged boxes, one 20th Century example having a landscape scene on a black lacquer ground with red lacquer interior, signed lower left and right to cover, measuring 2" high x 6 1/8" wide x 4 1/4" deep. The second, an earlier example depicting a figural sledding scene, with silver gilt to interior and marks to the interior of lid, measuring 4" high x 7 1/8" wide x 4 1/2" deep. Estimate $100-200
The larger box having crazing to the cover, small area of loss to corner of cover, not impacting presentation when closed and two small areas of loss to the front of the box. The smaller box, marks to underside of box worn and crazing to the cover, minor scratches to underside and area of wear to front of the box.
