Two framed 19th Century English engravings, published by Ackermann after William Skinner; titled Forcing the Passage of the Bocca Tigris in China... from observations made on board the Andromache during the action with the forts... both are framed in giltwood with handlined french mats. The larger image is a later 20th Century handcolored restrike, depicting Victory of the Trafalgar in the Rear, after R. Dodd, measuring 24" x 36" framed. - Sheet size of the Ackermanns: 13 3/8" high x 17 1/2" wide. Estimate $200-300
Both of the Ackermann prints having clear tape hinges and resultant tape staining to top and bottom margins. One having a minor tear to lower margin. Both having areas of discoloration, not impacting image. The larger print is framed in a poster frame and edges of print have been folded around the frame to reduce it's size.
