PAIR OF 19TH/20TH CENTURY PAINTED VENETIAN TWO-DRAWER CHESTS WITH ONE MATCHING PLATEAU/MIRROR.Late 19th/Early 20th Century. Chests marked to back with paper label, Gin Vittorio, Venezia, Made in Italy. Each cabinet having a shaped top with moulded edge, over conforming case with two paper lined drawers with pulls; raised on cabriole leg. Botanical motif polychrome paint to top, sides, drawer fronts and legs. Each measure 32" high x 32 7/8" wide x 15 5/8" deep. Along with a small painted wooden plateau, which is presently wired to be used as a mirror, measuring 20 1/4" long x 14 7/8" deep. Estimate $400-600
Wear and loss to paint associated with age and use. Areas of later paint and losses to carving. One of the chests has legs which are slightly loose. Mirror to the plateau is replaced. Back of mirror is marked Made in Italy.
