Top having a brass gallery, over an inlaid and painted slant front with winged lion figures, banded border and brass eschuteon. Opening to a center door panel, also painted and inlaid with winged lion figures, flanked by two bracketed compartments, centered by two banks of drawers with ring pulls. The writing surface is not set with leather or felt. Over one drawer flanked by brass rosettes; over three drawers all with ring pulls, the lower two drawers inlaid with winged lion figures; centered by brass mounted alabaster columns; all on plinith base with brass mounts. - 48 1/2" high x 43 3/4" wide x 21" deep. Some areas of loss and separation to veneer to front drawers and minor loss and separation of veneer to sides. Plaster which holds one of the alabaster columns has disintegrated a bit. Key is present. Structurally sound.
