Sloans & Kenyon is pleased to offer at auction from the atelier of Tom Yanosky consigned directly from his family's private collection. Hundreds of
works by the artist will be offered at auction over the course of the coming year. Yanosky's works have seldom been sold at auction before now.

THOMAS 'TOM' RAPHAEL YANOSKY (1918- 2014) was a critically acclaimed Washington, DC, artist whose wide range of works included oils, acrylics, constructions, watercolors, etchings and collages. Yanosky's art works are in the permanent collections of the Library of Congress, George Washington University and numerous important private collections. As a young man, Yanosky was befriended by Duncan Phillips who purchased one of his oils ('Blue Mosaic') for the Phillips Collection. During the course of his career that spanned three-quarters of a century, Yanosky exhibited at the Smithsonian Institution, The Corcoran Gallery of Art, The Arts Club of Washington, the Audubon Society, and the Phoenix Art Museum, among other places, and was a past president of the Washington Society of Artists.
