FRAMED MID- 20TH CENTURY IRINA LORIN SIGNED CERAMIC ART TILE OF A DANCERS, WITH TWO FRAMED FIGURAL TILES, Mid-20th Century. Lorin tile is signed. Dancing female figure on a black ground, in painted frame, with two smaller figural tiles, mounted. (2 total).

Russian born Irinia Lorin was educated in China. After immigrating to the US, she worked at Paramount Studio with Miss Edith Head. Later, at a costume house in New York, she worked with Salvador Dali as well as other well-known artists of the time. She opened her own studio in California in the mid-1950's. Her work is characterized by highly stylized images in both bold design and color. - Largest 15" high x 11 1/2" wide.
