EARLY 20TH CENTURY ENGLISH BRONZE SCULPT,FAITH, Signed to belly, M.H. Pegler?. Bronze figure of a goat, on oval wooden painted base with silver plate inscribed, Pure Alpine Sedgemere Faith, Champion Milking & Inspection Goat, 1905, 1906, 1907.

Sedgmere Faith was given the distinction of being the founder of the British Alpine breed, and was imported from the Paris Zoo in 1903. She was the first goat recorded as having given a gallon of milk in a 24-hour period. - Height: 4 in.
