EARLY 20TH CENTURY TOBACCO/SMOKING RELATED PRESENTATION HORSESHOE MOUNTED ON A WOODEN BASE, MYERS TOBACCO COMPANY,Early 20th Century. With original invoice label mounted to back. Large iron horseshoe mounted on a wooden base, centering a silverplate plate inscribed, 'On the Morning of December 1, 1911, the first day of the present Liggett & Myers Tobacco Company, CC Dulca, President, picked up this horseshoe on the street on the way to the St. Louis Factory". Base has original paper invoice mounted to back from F. Schmuttler (?), Manufacturer of Cabinet & Architectural Woodwork. Lot also includes two decorative iron pony shoes. (3 total). - 11 1/4" tall. Very good condition. No loss to wooden base. The paper label has had shellac applied over the receipt... it is a bit illegible.
