WOOD FRAMED 18TH CENTURY HENRI CHATELAIN, HANDCOLORED, OF THE PERIOD, ENGRAVING DEPICTING SAILING TERMS & OBJECTS, 18th century. Wood framed original 18th Century handcolored engraving, Nouvelle Carte pour conduire a la Connoissance de la Marine et a demontrer la plus part des Instrumens. The engraving depicts various objects, types of ships, bodies of water, boat construction and parts. Included in the 1720 edition of Atlas Historique, published by Chatelain in Amsterdam. - Framed 26 1/8" high x 33 3/4" wide.

Not examined out of frame. Foxing to engraving as well as mat. Fading to engraving. Glass is intact. Wear to frame.
