Both volumes in the publisher's bindings -- half blue cloth over illustrated boards. ill sound. Later printings of two of the most famous volumes in the history of photo-journalism. Jacob Riis's photographs of the impoverished residents of New York City helped to change laws (and inspired Theodore Roosevelt).
