[CORVO, BEERBOHM, ET AL],THE YELLOW BOOK Volume XI. London, 1896. In the publisher' binding of yellow cloth, printed in black. First edition (with the ads present at the rear of the volume). An excellent copy. Especially interesting for the first publication of an early work by "Baron Corvo" - Frederick Rolfe: "Stories Toto Told Me, (published two years later by John Lane). Rolfe and his dissolute life are the subject of one of the most famous works in homosexual studies, A. J. A. Symons 'The Quest for Corvo." Also, this number of the 'Yellow Book' includes Max Beerbohm's 'Happy Hippocrite' along with a splendid color plate by Beerbohm.
