Feridun Ozgoren was born in Istanbul in 1942. He graduated from the Department of Economy at Istanbul University. He then completed his study at the Department of Biostatistics of Michigan University School of Public Health. He learned marbling art (Ebru) from Niyazi Sayin. Ozgoren has held many solo exhibitions and given workshops in many cities in the US. His works can be seen in the collection of many museums such as Museum of Fine Arts, Boston and Harvard Art Museums. In 2016 he received Presidential Culture and Arts Grand Award. Besdies being a marbling artist, Ozgoren is a ney and tambur player. He conducts the Cambridge Society of Classical Turkish Music. Ozgoren currently continues his work in Boston.
