REMBRANDT VAN RIJN (Dutch, 1606-1669). Young Man in a Velvet Cap (Ferdinand Bol), 1637, Medium: Etching with touches of drypoint. The sitter is likely fellow artist Ferdinand Bol (Dutch, 1616-1680). The artwork is dated 1637 and signed (with some slight slipped printing on signature). A "Titus Fine Art" (Beverly Hills, California) certificate of authenticity accompanies the artwork which confirms that it is "A good 17th century impression of the second and final state, with narrow margins on three sides, trimmed on the platemark at lower edge and remargined, a tiny nick at center left edge." Framed. Not examined out of frame. - 3 7/8 X 3 5/16; frame: 17 x 16 in.
