NOTE: Marjorie Phillips' paintings were exhibited widely, including at the Tate Gallery, London; the Pennsylvania Academy of Fine Arts; the Art Institute of Chicago; and a solo show at the Corcoran Gallery in 1955. She worked in a post-impressionist style inspired by Bonnard. She co-founded the Phillips Collection with her husband, Duncan Phillips.
