TWO NIGER ABALAK TUAREG LEATHER MEN PURSES, Mid 20th century. A pair of hand-made traditional tribally used Tuareg leather wallets or "enafad" made of goatskin. Both purses are decorated with applied cut-out leather patterns, embroidered with added twine and sequins, and the surface of the pouch is also hand-impressed with linear pattern. Tuareg men prepare and tan the skin while the women affix all decorations such as patterns.
