INDONESIAN TIMOR PECTORAL TROPHY DISCS. Set of two patinated Timor pectoral discs, also known as breastplates or "trophy discs". These discs are traditionally found in Timor and Southeast Maluku, Indonesia. They were historically given to warriors as rewards for successful returns from war, headhunting, or hunting expeditions, symbolizing prestige and bravery. Often referred to as mas bulan (moon-shaped discs), they are associated with celestial bodies and are considered symbols of strength and nobility within the community, particularly for Meo warriors.
