TWO INDO-PERSIAN MINIATURE PORTRAITS: A COURT LADY AND AN ATTENDANT WITH A PEACOCK-FEATHER FAN Two miniature paintings in the Mughal/Indo-Persian tradition. The first (on the left), a small oval portrait set in a black wooden frame, depicts a richly dressed court lady wearing an elaborate jeweled headdress and gold-trimmed robes, holding a flower in one hand. The second painting shows a male attendant wearing a white leaf-patterned robe and turban, holding a morchhal, or peacock-feather fan, one of the traditional insignia of Indian royal and courtly attendants, shown in profile. Unsigned. Both pieces are framed and were not examined out of frame. $150-250
