PRESENTATION SHAMSHIR SWORD, GIFT FROM THE MINISTRY OF DEFENSE OF THE REPUBLIC OF UZBEKISTAN, IN FITTED DISPLAY CASE 20th century Ornate ceremonial shamshir (curved Central Asian sword) with a matching scabbard, both richly decorated in silver-toned filigree and scrollwork with heart-shaped and floral silver mounts along the length of the scabbard. The crossguard is inlayed, and the hilt and blade are covered in dense, hand-chased scrollwork typical of Uzbek. The sword is mounted in a custom-fitted acrylic display case with an engraved plaque reading "On behalf of the Minister of Defence of the Republic of Uzbekistan."
