TWO HIMALAYAN (NEPALESE/TIBETAN-STYLE) MINIATURE PAINTINGS OF A SEATED BODHISATTVA This set of two of small hand-painted miniatures depicts a Buddhist bodhisattva seated cross-legged on a lotus throne, bare-chested, adorned with elaborate gold jewelry, a beaded crown, and flowing colored scarves, set against a glowing round halo. The tall, layered crown, gold ornaments, and lotus seat are hallmarks of Himalayan Buddhist art from Nepal, Tibet, and Bhutan, most likely drawing on the Newar painting tradition of Nepal's Kathmandu Valley. Framed. Not examined out of frame. $150-250
