An oil painting, after Sir Joshua Reynolds, that depicts the celebrated 18th-century courtesan in three-quarter profile, wrapped in a richly draped coral and cream shawl over a white gown, tenderly cradling a small bird in her hands. Rendered in a warm, painterly manner with loose, expressive brushwork characteristic of period copies after Reynolds. It is presented in an ornate beaded and foliate-carved giltwood frame.
