INDONESIAN KALIMANTAN DAYAK WOODEN GUARD FIGURE, Mid 20th century. Patinated hand-carved wooden kitchen or house guard by the Kalimantan Dayak peoples from the interior rain forests of Borneo. The statue has sings of usage as it was originally used as a protective figure standing guard in front of tribe people's home. Consignor acquired it while working in the region.
