THE DIVINE LOVERS: RADHA AWAITING KRISHNA 18th / 19th century Executed in the lyrical Pahari style characteristic of the Kangra School, this fine Indian miniature painting depicts Lord Krishna seated beneath verdant foliage, reaching out toward Radha as she glides across a landscape under a dramatic, lightning-streaked sky. Rendered with opaque watercolor and delicate gold detailing on paper, the composition features rich naturalistic elements, including a lotus-filled stream and a pair of waterbirds; it retains an early gallery label from Fine Picture House in Rawalpindi, Pakistan on the reverse.
