A creek in the foreground with a small waterfall lower left mid-ground, surrounded by forest trees, which is a distant view of part of the "lower pool" of Bish-Bash Falls, Massachusetts. Provenance: C.G. Sloan & Company, auctioneers, Washington, D.C., sold as lot 725 in the sale of 10/8/1966. The painting was catalogued as being by Kensett, but not as being signed by Kensett. A subsequent cleaning revealed the "JFK" monogram. Daniel Oppenheim, Washington, D.C.
